ABOUT US
Pastors Joe and Alicia Adevai
First of all, we want to say welcome to Faith Exchange of North
Brunswick! We hope you will feel right at home as we worship
together today. If you are searching for a church home, we would
like you to know that there is a special place here just for you.
As pastors, we have dedicated our lives to adding value to people.
We believe that the most important gifts in the world are not
things, but people. We are called to teaching our families, friends
and community how to live a victorious life as we share in the grace
and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know that He came not to judge
us, but to save us. He came that we could learn how to live a
victorious life. Not merely surviving, but thriving in Jesus!! We
believe that the word of God supersedes all other influences in our
lives and we stand on it as our source of truth and transformation.
We are called to share the "good news" as we walk by faith in God's
word and live our lives according to God's promises. Knowing that
God is good and wants us to reach our full potential as we walk out
our faith. He has a great plan for each of us and a special calling
for us individually as we are all uniquely gifted. Our "great
commission" is to share this life changing message with our family,
community, and to the ends of the earth.
With intense expectation, we stand in faith, embracing the future of
Faith Exchange of North Brunswick. Everyone who comes through our
doors is important to God and to us. If you have any unanswered
questions, please feel free to call us or come by for a visit. We
would like to get to know you!

Overview
and History of Faith Exchange North Brunswick
The roots of Faith Exchange North Brunswick (FENB) go back to 1987
when Joseph and Alicia Adevai gave their hearts to the Lord Jesus
Christ. They immediately started attending Christ Community Church
in Edison NJ. Joe became an elder in the church and also became the
youth leader. Alicia led a woman's bible study and spent much of her
time raising their 6 children. The Adevais served faithfully at CCC
for 10 years and were instrumental in the growth of the church from
a group of 10 to upwards of 200 members. At this time Joe was a
commodities trader on the New York Mercantile Exchange. He attended
a bible study which was led by Pastor Dan Stratton. By 1997 this
bible study grew into a church: Faith Exchange Fellowship of NY. The
Adevais knew that God was calling them to this new church and in
1997 they started driving to NYC every week to attend services at
FEF NY. The Adevais were anointed as elders in 1998 and were totally
committed to FEF and continued to serve the Lord there. Joe was
asked on many occasions to preach when Pastor Dan was speaking in
other venues and it was apparent that it was something he was called
to do. On July 23, 2000 Joe was at the church and God called him
that night to start a faith-filled ministry in North Brunswick.
One month later, on August 27, 2000, after much prayer, the Adevais
opened the doors and held the first service of FEF North Brunswick
at the Ramada Inn in North Brunswick, NJ. The services continued
every week and on September 16, 2001 they were ordained as pastors
by Pastor Stratton of Faith Exchange of New York City. The church
grew and started meeting in the Lion's Plaza on route 130. Many
marriages were healed, others were healed of sickness, and many
teens turned their lives around. The teen ministry was especially
effective with monthly events taking place which included: camping,
scavenger hunts, tubing and many special events. Teens were giving
their hearts to God and turning away from the temptations that are
so prevalent in the world today. We continued to grow and in 2003 we
purchased our own building at 1915 Old Georges Rd.
For several years Faith Exchange has grown into a thriving church,
helping many throughout the community through a variety of outreach
services including:

Statement of Faith
* We believe in one God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of
all things.
* We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son
of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin
Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended
into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the
Father and is true God and true man.
* We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word
of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.
* We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal
happiness of the saved, and the eternal chastisement of the
lost.
* We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed
blood of Jesus Christ.
* We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of
Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the Redemption.
* We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit
as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the
Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the
Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe
that all of these are available to believers.
* We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by
the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of
heart and life.
* We believe in the Christian hope - the soon coming, personal
return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
